The year is 2507. . .
Two years. . .
That's how much time has passed since Conner left the Pirate Academy to be on The Diablo once more. Two years since Grace came back to the Vampirate Ship. Two years since Sidorio and his small crewof rebel vampires were killed.
Now part of the crew for good, Conner Tempest is fitting into the pirate life even better. His skills have become an amazing pirate and only at sixteen!
Grace Tempest is also doing well on the Vampirate Ship. Against Loran's protests, Grace has become his donor. She's slowly learning more about the strange ship thanks to Darcy Flotsam and what little she can find out from the Captain.
Both twins are fine and happy.
But nothing is forever. . .
Strange reports have come to the pirate Federation's attention. Pirate crews are falling pray to attacks practicly every night. Word has not yet got out, but it is starting to get harder and harder to cover up these deaths. What few survivers there are describe their attackers as living shadows. But before they can say anything else, they die. . .
What strange new enemy is this? It's going to take everyone to find out who and stop them.
